Richard McKay conducts an evening of energy and elegance, beginning with Poulenc’s witty, jazz-tinged Piano Concerto (1949) performed by internationally acclaimed pianist Anton Nel, followed by Mozart’s sparkling Piano Concerto No. 19. After intermission, the orchestra brings Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 to life — a masterwork celebrated for its driving rhythms and jubilant melodies.
